DARE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

SESSION NEWS . . .

When the Session met Wednesday, April 30th they heard a presentation of the CORE youth ministry program from Bonnie Waters.  Feeling that this program could be a welcome ministry for the youth of our area, the Session approved it's use.

This being a joint meeting with the Deacons, there was also a presentation of a "Bring a Friend" Sunday program. Action has not yet been taken on this proposal.

Dates for upcoming activities were decided:
May 5th-  Meeting with the Barrier Free
                 Committee
May 10th-The first meeting of a men's break-
fast and devotional group at 8:00
                 AM
May 18th-Monthly pot-luck dinner

It was reported that the Session records have been examined (as required) and approved April 26th at Donaldson.

Carl Hanna provided a progress report on the spring pick-up of our five-mile section of M48 in the Adopt-A-Highway program, stating that there were still a couple of miles left to clean.

Other business included having the furnace repaired before the next heating season, approval of a new flag pole memorial (pending approval of the family of Bob Bosley, Sr.),   and approving the taking of a special offering on May 18th to fund scholarships for Kathy Gleckler's training institute.
